Silo
Systems
Our silos are capable of storing green, roasted,
or ground coffee in any quantities. Small silos
or large units can be constructed to suit the
customer's requirements and to fit the site arrangements.
Connection of silos to the existing transport
system is but a part of installation. The amount
of stored coffee can be monitored with sensors,
and collected data can be used for navigation
and distribution of additional coffee batches
into the silos. A smooth and safe transfer of
roasted coffee beans into the silo is achieved
through the usage of step-down ladders. These
are specialized transport channels, which prevent
faster descent of the material by breaking the
steady flow into a segmented movement, thus achieving
a nearly breakage-free transport.

Hoppers
Hoppers come in any shapes and varieties. Feeding
or receiving hoppers can be round or square,
positioned on load cells, or firmly attached
to a frame. Some hoppers are built as specially
shaped units, for areas or applications where
such an approach is needed.
Hoppers can be designed as fixed, or movable.
A hopper-supporting frame can be adapted to
fit the site limitations, or be positioned on
casters, for easier transport through the production
area. Specially mounted hoppers, to fit within
an existing assembly, can be constructed per
customer's requirements and actual dimensions
of the surrounding components.
As with silos, the design of every hopper starts
with a calculation of the amount of coffee,
be it green, roasted, or ground, the unit is
to contain. From this basic requirement, the
shape and size of the hopper is determined,
keeping its outline supportive of material flow
and its storage.
Feeding of hoppers and material discharge can
be adapted to almost any requirements.
